Becky was a PUBLIC persona who made [makes?] everyone feel as if they were [are?] a
cherished part of her PRIVATE familia ... because she believed [believes?] in the
fatherhood of God and the brotherhood — or in her case motherhood — of mankind :-)
Accordingly, the ELDER Family invites WHOSOEVER WILL to come and be part of a ceremonious, communal experience of Becky's permanent presence with us through the sharing of stories and memories — which will evolve then fade in our awareness as they are enlightened then dimmed by the passing of time.

Evening Dinner Registration for Travelers & Next-of-Kin
Many will come from afar to remember Becky and TO THEM AS WELL AS KIN the ELDER Family wishes to extend an added and personal invitation to share a meal on the evening of January 10th. We wish we could extend this dinner invitation to everyone, but even Jesus was constrained by and sometimes accepted the physical limitations of an earthly existence ... something Becky has now passed beyond.
So if you are a traveler or kin to Becky and wish to join this smaller group for dinner the evening of January 10th,

As we were preparing to celebrate National School Choice week, the Holy Spirit prompted me to have a moment of silence for a fierce and compassionate warrior for school choice! Becky Elder was not just a guiding voice for the movement she was a steady voice for families and children who could not afford a luxurious private and Christian education. She fought for the least of us! As we silenced our voice to reflect on her work and persona my mind drifted to the many conversations we had and the multiple times we testified before committees in Topeka! And then I thought, "Oh how we need her voice to ring in the Rotunda one more time!" Every student, school leader and administrator joined me in this solemn moment to recognize and appreciate the person of Becky Elder! We will miss you here on earth and look forward to our reunion in heaven! p.s. I will bring you a yellow scarf:)
